Audit file (SAM management)

Description

An audit file is a text file with data about SAMs that are about to be delivered to the PTO. The file is made by the SAM manufacturer and is provided to the PTO before the SAMs are delivered. The manufacturer has to provide an audit file for each package of SAMs that he delivers to the PTO.

Information

For each SAM in the package for which the audit file is valid, the file contains the following information:

• The name of the SAM manufacturer
• The status of the SAM ("fabricated")
• The location type and location ID of the SAM
• A time stamp that indicates when the SAM was produced
• The serial number of the SAM
• The number of the purchase order

Purpose

Audit files are used to import basic SAM data in the SAM Management module. Like this, the SAMs are already known in SAM Management by the time they are delivered.
